Turtle in the Classroom!

Teacher Beth brought her turtle to visit us for a week in the classroom we had lots of fun with this visitor! The children loved to watch him swim around in his tank and crawl around the floor at circle time.

Your children love to sing "Tim the Turtle", here are the words to you can sing it with them at home, in the car, or wherever.

I HAVE A LITTLE TURTLE

(place one hand on top of the other and move thumbs in circles)

HIS NAME IS TINY TIM

I PUT HIM IN THE BATHTUB TO SEE IF HE COULD SWIM

(move arms as if swimming)

HE DRANK UP ALL THE WATER

(gulp....gulp....gulp)

HE ATE UP ALL THE SOAP

(Num..num...num..nummm)

NOW HE'S SICK IN BED WIHT A BUBBLE IN HIS THROAT!

(Hiccup)

BUBBLE, BUBBLE, BUBBLE

(repeat 4 times)

POP!

(Clap hands)
