Chicken Nuggets is a favorite lunch in our class, along with ketchup, french fries, bread and milk! Although brocoli is actually not a favorite it still shows up on the same plate. It is however for Teacher Laura and the other day while eating I started singing, "I love brocoli...yes I do, I love brocoli...yes I do..." (tune of Skip to my Lou) WHILE taking small bites.
One of my students Austin joined in my singing. "I love bread...yes I do...!" Then without thinking I added one of the children's names into my silly and very made up song, "I love Masen...yes I do....I love Masen yes I do. " I could see the wheels spinning away in Austin's head as I sang and I watched anticipating what he was about to say. He then expressed with much concern, "Don't EAT Masen!!!"
