{Silly Putty}

I use SILLY PUTTY in my classroom at least once a week! (Sometimes more.) I make it by scratch and wanted to the share the recipe with you.
Ingredients:
Glue 1 cup
Fabric Starch (powder) 1/4 cup (can purchase at Macey's)
Water 1/2 cup
Liquid paint- a squirt or two

Mix the starch, water and paint together until starch dissolves and then SLOWLY add the liquid to the glue, stirring continuously. I don't mind getting my hands icky and I tend to find it works better with hands then a spoon.

If the putty is too sticky add some water to it until it is the perfect consistency and have FUN!

NOTE: If it ever happens to come incontact with carpet, clothing or heaven forbid, hair. Spray some vinegar on it, rub vigorously and watch it dissolve.
